The versatility of Chromoly 4140M gives both the strength for a distance enhancing cup face and the softness for a moveable bendable neck. The wedges (GW SW LW) use a softer X30 stainless steel for enhanced feel and control in the short game.Its great for a designer when a new material like Chromoly comes into play as it opens up a world of new avenues for us. Weve been looking for a material that gives a little more pop from the face but without the hardness that stops us bending the neck for custom fitting. Chromoly opened that door.New Chromoly 4140M. Our new material allows the face to be our thinnest yet (for our fastest ever ball speeds) but the hosel to remain bendable for lie angle adjustment.Its really really hot off the face: As well as being incredibly thin the JPX 900 HOT METAL also incorporates a multi thickness face to take ball speeds to an entirely new level.Maximum performance from miss hits: The JPX 900 Hot Metal uses a new one piece 360 Cup face design to make sure your miss hits still fly to target and feel right.All in proportion: Every iron at Mizuno needs to look just right over the ball.
